Our Story
Leather Exotica known by its brand name Meron Addis Ababa is a leather bag brand built on authentic designs and intricate handcrafted details. We work with local sustainably sourced leather and all our products are created at our workshop in Addis Ababa.
Our vision is to grow a sustainable and ethical brand that creates job opportunities for the youth and women by manufacturing handmade leather designer handbags and accessories.
Our Team
Our staff is 80% women and we empower women by creating sustainable, ethical job opportunities and training on leather craftsmanship. Every one of our products are handmade with love.
The Designer
Meron Seid is a creative director at Meron Addis Ababa. Passionate about design and utilizing locally sourced materials she started Meron Addis Ababa 12 years ago.
Meron has pioneered the fashion-focused leather bag industry in Ethiopia. She won numerous international and local awards for her work in design and entrepreneurship.
As a manufacturer of leather goods and a fashion brand, we work with clients around the world who share our vision. We work with boutiques and online stores to resell our products.
We also work with other brands and designers as a private label. With our manufacturing service, you can send your designs for manufacturing. The bags will be handmade at our production facility and shipped to you with your logo and name engraved. Our minimum order quantity for each design you order is 12. We guarantee quality craftsmanship and top-quality raw materials.
